Description
The saint is wearing a long, wide, wrinkled coat with a large hood, from which the expressive face looks. The hair wreath is curly. The back of the head of the hood drops down as if on the back. Under the mantle, the left foot emerges. The individual folds of the mantle run down in sharp ridges, the robe bursts on the feet. The arms and hands stand out from the wide sleeves. The right are raised in blessing gesture. In the broken left he probably once held his chain. Bottom round narrow base plate. The coat is blue lined. Exterior red and blue attached to the gilding. The Leonhardskult was widespread from southern Germany to Styria. The peasants sacrificed small iron animals to preserve the appropriate species and number of their cattle, especially the horses, from disease and disease. Of these votive animals presented to the saint, nine have been preserved from the chapel.
