Description
Cylindrical jug of Amberg's Faience, painted on the front in manganese and yellow with the crowned imperial eagle. Pewter mounts. On the lid round medallion with deer hunt and inscription: "Mich ... verweil den Hirsch ereil". Manganese brand AB. The jug has a conical shape. The double-headed imperial eagle holds the scepter in the right claw and the imperial orb in the left claw. Between the heads a crown rests. Foot rim bulged with pewter edge. Pewter lid with profiled knob. On the floor the mark. Enclosed note with pencil inscription "Altenburg", on reverse inscription in ink "Ke 2051 / Amberg".
