Playing board for checkers and trictracs
Square double folding frame. Inner edges as well as narrow sides are moved by flame strips, the latter grooved. Coloured drawings and decorations fired and engraved on the fields. Front: Poseidon with trident in his right hand, holding amphitrites in his arms; in the middle sea with horse and cart in the background coastal landscape, castle on the right; in the upper left corner Cupid framed by clouds. Back: Checkerboard design with fruit bundles as field filling. Inside on both boards alternating between six pyramids and dolphins on light ground. Engraved brass lock with movable mask on bolt. Twenty-four board stones with rough carved, recessed relief decorations with plant motifs such as masks, grotesques and animal heads.
