Description
The forest woman with long open hair falling down over the leafy robe to the leafy apron girding the open robe grasps the small kintoki clinging to her with her right hand; heavily worn red lacquer with remnants of gilding.

Acquired in 1908 by Herbert Ginsberg in Japan; 1908 to 1942 Ostasiatica Collection Herbert Ginsberg, Berlin; confiscated by the SD in Rotterdam in 1942.
