Description
A man in a blue kimono is squatting on the floor; in his left hand he holds a full bowl, next to him is a sac dish; his face is grotesquely distorted, his mouth is open, ready to receive the morsel that his right hand is about to introduce.

Acquired in 1908 by Herbert Ginsberg in Japan; 1908 to 1942 Ostasiatica Collection Herbert Ginsberg, Berlin; confiscated by the SD in Rotterdam in 1942.
