Description
Modelled by J.J. Kändler and J.F. Eberlein. In the centre two swans and a heron amidst rushes, waves, fish and shells, far left a small hut, above a flying heron, on a spirally radiated shell base. In the centre the lip with the Brühl coat of arms with lion pendants and scattered sprinkles as well as sprigs of Indian flowers, within a moulded, gilded pronged wreath, (tiny chipping at the edge).
Provenance
Heinrich count of Brühl (1700-1763); in the possession of the descendants, Pförten castle; an belonging to the Pförten swan service holdings, looted in 1945, cannot be ruled out; [...]; Christie's, 4 June 2013, lot 27.
