A VERY FINE FAENZA LARGE ALBARELLO, painted with a full length figure of Venus dressing her hair, against a background of a lagoon with hills in the distance, a tree in the foreground from which hangs amatory trophies, the whole well painted in soft shades of green, yellow and blue, the reverse with five vertical: rows of oval floral medallions on an orange ground with vertical meander in dark blue, the neck and base with orange and yellow scales and a blue and white band, circa 1520
