Basin for ritual hand washing with dedicatory inscription

Object Name: Bowl for hand washing
Subject: Miscellaneous
The Hebrew inscriptions inside the basin list the names of the children of Miriam Rachel Hartstein who donated the bowl in memory of their father Asher Anshil Halevi: Shmayahu, Avraham Daniel, Moshe, Yoseph, Meshulam Feishel, Ozer, Yehoshua, Noah, Shlomo, and their one and only sister Rivka; the Hebrew year is indicated by a phrase from Det. 16: 20.
The Hebrew inscription on the back adds that it was donated to the synagogue on the recomendations of Rabbi Dov Berenstein and Shalom Fried, the head of the synagogue wardens ("gabaim")
Above the list of names is a depiction of a basin and laver - a symbol of the Levites, and perhaps an indication that the basin was part of a set and the laver is missing.
