Provenance
The painting "Cows at the Trough" by Heinrich Johann von Zügel was created in 1898. The painting is signed and dated "H. Zügel 98". The painting was acquired by the Gallery Almas-Dietrich in Munich "aus deutschem Besitz, Berlin" and probably in 1937 sold to the Reich Chancellery. The term "aus deutschem Besitz, Berlin" was carried out by the owner of the Gallery Almas-Dietrich in a survey on the origin of the painting on 03.09.1949 in Munich CCP. Currently there is no evidence for further provenance research.
