Provenance
1874 (to) creation of the painting by the artist. Probably with the painting "Hunting still life" (with the same title, same dimensions, same signature, but 1874 dated. See Provenance BADV. 1938 (presumably) owner change or withdrawal (due regard to cancellation "Zentralstelle für Denkmalschutz Wien" on the back of the painting). 1938 Purchase of the painting by the Chancellery and transfer to the depot in the "Führerbau" Munich. In 1945, takeover of the painting from the former hiding place Altaussee in the CCP Munich. Registry under Mu. No. 3602.1969 handover of the painting in the departmental assets of the Foreign Office, use for using the equipment of the German Embassy in Bankhok, later in Quito. 2009 redemption of the painting in the equipment stock of the Foreign Office. The provenance research is completed. There is no evidence of a Nazi - persecution-related assets loss. Because of gaps in the provenance history such but not completely ruled out.
