Description
Before the storm approaching on the left in blue-grey clouds, three sailing cutters are returning home on a stormy green sea, in front of them a man in a rowing boat with a red jacket. On the right, the pier leads vertically into the picture, to the right of it a small tower with a red and white blue flag. The worker in front wears a yellow shirt and red cap. In front of a clearing in the clouds a paddle steamer is moving to the left, above and to the right still clear sky. Inscribed at lower right: Jos Burrell 1880.
