Latin kurrent: " Geographie für Selig Ephraim Rosenthal (Salomon) in Münden 1812". "Solomon". Below on title page, partly erased: "Aron Finsterwald.", right beside it, hardly legible in brown ink "T.G. Nö...". Back cover in German kurrent: " dieses Buch ist mirt lieb und ich habe es von meiner guten Freundin _ in Cassel bekommen, 1815", "anno 1810". On the following page in Latin kurrent: "Cet livre m'est cher car j'ai recu (deleted) car je l'ai recu de ma bonne amie C.H.L. a Cassel". In the book cover on the back writing exercise Hebrew letter bet in square letters. Besides writing exercises in German kurrent as well as in lat. kurrent the place name "Vacha, d...". (Vacha on the Werra, Thuringia)

Unknown. Selig Rosenthal, born around 1780, was married to Rosa, née Oswald. He died on 8.7.1846 in Madfeld, Sauerland. From 1835 he was a manufacturer of cotton cloth.
