Ostrich egg pokal
The body of the cup consists of a bowl of ostrich ice, which is fixed in a gilded silver frame. The lid is crowned by the figure of a Roman warrior with shield and spear. Probably, the trophy was a wedding ceremony, which is indicated by the alliance.
Designation:
a) Elongate cubes with letters "HIVR FMG / 1639" on the lid bottom, probably the coat of arms of the Solothurn patrician families Greder (Duck Feet) and Roll (wheel).
(b) Once again, the coils and letters "HIVR.FMG" on a caryatid.
c) Letters "IG" and coat of arms, probably the solothurn patrician family Greder, on the shield of the warrior.
d) Master mark: "W" or "IW"
e) Sign: probably Solothurn (formerly attributed to Ulm)
