Landscape painting, allegory of summer, comparable to the group of "Heubilder (Heykens)"; the frame is finished with some faded red stamp
Provenance
The supposed membership of the painting to the collections Lord Scarsdales, Keddlestonhall, and the Viennese painter Friedrich von Amerling (1803-1887) can not be substantiated; to 1938 in the collection of a „sudetendeutschen Industriellen in Aussig“; perhaps, it means the collection of Ignaz Petschek or Weinmann Family in Aussig (today Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic); 1939 art dealer Cassirer in Amsterdam; Sales in January 1939 by Dr. Walther Bernt to the collector Werner Habig from Oelde.
