Description
Shape:
Baluster-shaped body with conical base, sloping shoulder and cylindrical neck, separated by a profiled ring; around the upper edge also a profiled ring.
Décor:
Pagoda architecture with flags on the outside, a rock with a sitting bird spread its wings, as well as a flying bird and small insects and delicate flowering branches; flowering tendrils and insects around the neck and on the cover.
Manufacture's mark: on glaze blue crossed swords .

The cover shown in the historical photo is still in place: SKD, porcelain collection, inv. no. PE 1901 b; dimensions: h. 6.7 cm, d. 7.3 cm.
Provenance
Dresden Castle, tower room; the collection of porcelain, together with the carpets, furnishings from the porcelain gallery and scientific material (10 boxes), was relocated to 16 different locations in a total of 1211 boxes. The relocation sites, some of which were castles and manor houses, served as refugee accommodation after 1945. As part of the collection was later offered for sale by private individuals or found in private estates, it is assumed that some of the losses were due to looting and destruction. According to the loss report for the porcelain collection from 1991, a partial transport to the Soviet Union cannot be ruled out.

Meißner Porzellan. Links: Eingeritzte Joh.-Marke N 226 w, Überglasurschwerter, III 142+, Höhe mit Deckel: 31 cm, Durchmesser: ca. 15,5 cm. Rechts: Eingeritzte Joh.-Marke N 226 w, Überglasurschwerter, III 143+, Höhe mit Deckel: 31 cm, Durchmesser: ca. 14 cm. (besonders dünnes Porzellan, stark zersprungen). (Turmzimmer, vormal.
