Body of a Vase and Cover

Shape:
Broad foot ring, the outer edge slightly bent upwards; bulbous body with sloping shoulder; accentuated neck with wide mouth and extended lip.
Décor:
Indian-style leaf and flower tendrils on the outside above a stylized earth zone; neck separated from the body by a gold line; around the neck and on the cover a loose leaf and flower tendril; gilded foot and cover rim.
Manufacture`s mark: not ascertainable, probably underglazed blue AR monogram.
Comment:
The cover shown in the historical photo is preserved: SKD, porcelain collection, inv. no. PE 842 (HMA no. III 68); dimensions: h. 6.2 cm, d. 9.4 cm.
