Provenance
Former owner Sigmund Fischbein, father of Vilma Kristeller. The mother Agathe Fischbein was a friend of Lovis Corinth.
In fact of the nationalist reprisal Walter and Vilma Kristeller emigrated to New York in 1936. In September 1936 their posession has been packed and stored in the transport company Gustav Knauer. Between the property were different art objects. Vilma and Walter Kristeller has been emigrated in the 22th of october 1937. The sent property came to New York in may 1938, missing this and other works of art.
