Square casket, decorated with ivory reliefs, originally with two wooden figures of musicians on the lid.
Provenance
Lost in 1945 - reacquired in 2007 from private ownership through the mediation of Mr. Georg Laue, Munich and with the support of the Friends of the Schlossmuseum Schloss Friedenstein Gotha e. V., the Rudolf-August Oetker Foundation and the Free State of Thuringia. Restoration with funding from the Friends of the Kulturstiftung der Länder.
