Fight of centaurs

On a high plateau before mighty clouds, the battle takes place. Centaurs on the stony ground lie to the right and to the left. Horses rise to the sky. In the center are two centaurs standing and a third with a boulder in raised hands hastened to help the friend to the victory. Clouds white and gray. The bodies of the centaurs, as well as the ground black gray and light gray. Using the light brown ground partly outlined with pencil and charcoal grisaille. Small figures. Signed at the bottom left: Böcklin.
