Description

The Portuguese star tenor Francisco D'Andrade shone as Don Juan in Mozart's opera. Especially his interpretation of the "Champagne - Aria" aroused real storms of enthusiasm in the audience. Eduard Fuchs owned two studies of the "White d'Andrade", the large-format painting had already been purchased by the Galerieverein der Stuttgarter Staatsgalerie in 1904.
