Profiled bulbous base approximately hemispherical bowl, slightly concave the high cylindrical body with a widely protruding lip.

Décor:

Above the base, between the bowl and the upper part separating golden lines; on the bowl Indian style flower branches; on the outside a gnarled tree with a large central peony flower and flowering tendrils: the vertically upright branches with thorn-like attachments and very simplified five-petalled flowers and their buds are characteristic.

Manufacturer's mark: underglazed blue AR monogram.

Comment:

lost: vase, left side

Provenance
Dresden Castle, tower room; the collection of porcelain, together with the carpets, furnishings from the porcelain gallery and scientific material (10 boxes), was relocated to 16 different locations in a total of 1211 boxes. The relocation sites, some of which were castles and manor houses, served as refugee accommodation after 1945. As part of the collection was later offered for sale by private individuals or found in private estates, it is assumed that some of the losses were due to looting and destruction. According to the loss report for the porcelain collection from 1991, a partial transport to the Soviet Union cannot be ruled out.
