Description

In der Mitte sitzen zwei Hirtenkinder, in das Tal nach rechts blickend in welchem Ausflügler aus einem Dorfe ziehen. Links eine Ruine im Mittelgebirge. Im Abschnitt des Mittelteils ein Obstmarkt in Grisaille. Dreiteiliges Bild (Inventarbeschreibung).

Provenance
Acquired in 1904 as a state purchase from the art exhibition at the Glass Palace in Munich from budgetary funds ‘for the acquisition of excellent works of art’; work last traceable in the spa administration in Bad Kissingen, lost since the turmoil of war, it can be assumed to have been looted.
