Eduard Fuchs Collection acquired between 1912-1922 and in his possession there until 1933; 25.10.1933 confiscated by the Gestapo; forced sale (payment of Reichsfluchtsteuer) by his daughter Gertraud Fuchs: Auktionshaus Rudolph Lepke Berlin, Catalogue 2115, p. 29 - on 15.10 and 16.10.1937 this sculpture was auctioned under No. 438: "PFERDETORSO, nur Leib und Kopf, weiß-lichgrauer Scherben mit Spuren alter Bemalung. Länge 48 cm, Höhe 43 cm. Wei“. The object with an estimated price of 100,- RM did not find a buyer and was submitted to Lepke again (catalog 2124, p. 29). From June 22 - 24, 1938, the horse torso was auctioned as lot 608 for 40,- RM (estimated price: 100,- RM) according to the annotated catalog of the Art Library of The Hague by an unknown art dealer/collector (Mentiro?); whereabouts unknown
