Description
Fuchs text for plate 32: „Mann auf Pferd sitzend. Rechter Arm herunterhängend, linker hält scheinbar den Zügel. Rötlicher Tonscherben. Graugrün glasiert. Unglasiert. Spuren von schwarzer und roter Bemalung. Höhe: 32,5 cm.“

Collection Eduard Fuchs acquired between 1912-1922 and in his possession there until 1933; 25.10.1933 confiscation by the Gestapo; forced sale (payment of Reichsfluchtsteuer) by his daughter Gertraud Fuchs: Auction House Rudolph Lepke Berlin, Catalogue 2115, p. 8 - on 15.10 and 16.10.1937 this sculpture was auctioned under No. 49: "TONFIGUR. Reiter zu Pferde; blaßgrünlich glasiert. H. 33 cm. Tang“. According to the annotated Lepke-catalogue (Kunsthistorische Bibliothek, Den Haag) by the director of the Staatliche Porzellan Manufaktur Berlin (KPM) Günther Freiherr von Pechmann auctioned for 26,- RM (estimate: 50,- RM). The minutes of the auction 2115 at the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts (Reich Chamber of Fine Artists) note "v. Pechmann" in typescript and confirm the price of RM 26 (Landesarchiv Berlin, A Rep. 243-04 Reich Chamber of Fine Arts - Landesleitung Berlin); whereabouts unknown
