Description
In the middle of the picture Morgiane interrupts her dance, jumps suddenly with a lunge onto the table and stabs the robber captain with her dagger. His two cronies react with raised hands and sheer horror or with a stare at the ghastly events. On the left half of the picture the tambourine beating black man, who dropped his instrument in shock (UW). This is the interpretation of the illustration shown in "Ali Baba", whether the design sketch corresponded to it cannot yet be said at the current state of research; signed: Slevogt
