Description
Smooth conical body, octagonal bulbous shape at the base, with a strong concave section at the broad foot. Octagonal convex cover with overlapping rim, flattened crown and seated dragon as knob on an octagonal base. On one side of the cup five Japanese children: a dancer between two standing boys, in the background right two squatting boys as spectators. The faces in sharp black contours without modelling, the mouths red, the garments in iron red and coral red with a rich gold pattern, further in yellow, blue-green and brown-violet. Hair, headwear and shoes black. On both sides of the group colorful flowering shrubs in iron red, light blue, yellow, two shades of green and gold. On the other side two Japanese children on a red fenced rectangular lawn; one is holding a golden vase with a colorful flower branch. Above them a flying bird. On the left at the fence colorful flowering shrubs. The robes in light blue, iron red with gold and blue-green. At the octagonal reveal and at the foot golden stripes. At the edge of the cover a golden bow ornament, yellow dots and flowers in blue, yellow and violet on an iron red ground. On the curvature four colorful flower branches. On the flat crown colorful flowers in blue-green mosaic background. On the white plate colorful scattered flowers. The dragon is colorfully decorated. [...] Swords mark.
