Description
A musician company of three couples with gamba, sword and dog, landlords and ladies in an interior setting. In the center a loudspeaker, in the background smokers and busy visitors. The four main characters are dressed in gorgeous costumes with lively colors, especially green, violet, blue and red.

Interiors, No. 28; Richard Semmel, Berlin; offered at auction Muller, Amsterdam 21.11.1933, no. 17; sold to 1,300 fl (according to Weltkunst, JG VII, No. 52/53 v. 24.12.1933) to de Boer (RKD); then (?) owned by the Galerie van Diemen (see the source of the image in the RKD); 16.10.1962 Auction Mak van Waay, Amsterdam, no. 114, opening price 5.200 hfl
