Description

One of the main attractions of Frankfurt Zoo was the young animal keeper Burkhart, who served as a model for Slevogt. One of his tasks was to bring the colourful Amazon birds, which he presented to visitors at the museum entrance, the so-called Parrot Avenue, back into the aviary shortly before the zoo closed.
