Description
Square, plain bordered sampler. Six alphabets at the top. In the centre a laurel wreath with the crowned initials and date "GFB / DHB / ACDB / 1806" (?). Surrounded by numerous motifs from the Bible, the world of things, animals and plants.
Sampler (1806); ABC design at the top. In the lower half between laurel branches GFB, BCB, ACBS, 1806, on the left crucifix group, Adam and Eve, flower vase a.o. On the right flower basket, Joshua and Caleb, gallery cabinet, tree a.o.
Provenance
Formerly Uckermark Museum, Prenzlau. Presumably lost during the war in 1945.
