Description
Shape:
Conical body with profiled lip on a slender, convex foot; taperingl cover with pine cone knob on a profiled base; two volute handles with female heads.
Décor:
Base, handle, lip and knob unpainted; sea-green ground on the on the outside and the cover with quatrefoil cartouches with Kakiemon style décor, cartouches framed with a golden double line; the cartouches of the outside and the cover show rice straw fence, prunus flower and pine branches with a bird sitting inside and an insect flying from the left; golden stripes above the foot and at the cover's lip.
Manufacture's mark: underglaze blue crossed swords

Stile, Meißner Porzellan. Links: Unterglasurkobaltblaue Schwerter, III 303, Höhe: 28 cm, Breite: 27,5 cm. Rechts: keine Schwerter, III 301+, Höhe: 32,5 cm, Breite: 28,5 cm. (Turmzimmer, vormal. Residenzschloß Dresden)."
