Description
Stove tile with relief depiction: bust-length portrait of a man with a feathered beret, holding a martel and a scroll in front of his chest, inside a round-arched niche; a banner above his head; a cartouche with the year "1566" on the niche floor.
Provenance
Purchased on Juni 7th 1904 in Munich at the Hefner-Alteneck auction, catalogue no. 380, for the sum of 150 marks with 10% commission (extra charge).
