Description
A gentleman carries a richly dressed and adorned lady on his shoulders; she holds a wine glass and a tobacco pipe in her left hand, while she scatters money with her right hand; in the background, on the left, one sees a castle on a lake, and on the right a drunken man beating his wife, and a dog; ball, board game, jaw harp, bowling balls, mask, battledore and shuttlecock are all lying on the ground; a banner states: „Het synstercke beenen die weelde konnen dragen.“ Counterpart to "Poverty", ID 1736
