The drinking vessel is gilded on the inside and enamelled in various colours on the outside; on the pedestal, which is decorated with flat arabesques, there is an inscription: "Zum Willkommen nach Ichtershausen gegeben von M. A. H. Z. S. G. F. Z. A. den 8. August 1716." (i. e. Magdalena Augusta, duchess of Saxony, née princess of Anhalt - spouse of duke Frederick II of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg); with a red and gilded leather case; maker's mark.
