Description
Shape:
above the flat foot, slightly rounded outer rim, above the baluster with a concave foot part an wide almost cylindrical body; lost parts and cracks at the lip of the neck.
Decor:
Light yellow ground, five or six cross-oblong cartouches at the base, as well as two large and probably eight small high cartouches with mythical creatures on the outside; the ground adecorated by wavy leaf tendrils with flower rosettes; broad gold lines emphasize the structure of the vase body; white baluster iecorated with Indian flowers, in the cartouche: on a choppy rock, flowering branches, witha sitting a sparrow-like bird; in the large cartouches mythical creatures with a golden dot in the manner of Adam Friedrich von Löwenfinck.
Manufacture mark: underglaze blue crossed swords.

Provenance
Dresden Castle, tower room; the collection of porcelain, together with the carpets, furnishings from the porcelain gallery and scientific material (10 boxes), was relocated to 16 different locations in a total of 1211 boxes. The relocation sites, some of which were castles and manor houses, served as refugee accommodation after 1945. As part of the collection was later offered for sale by private individuals or found in private estates, it is assumed that some of the losses were due to looting and destruction. According to the loss report for the porcelain collection from 1991, a partial transport to the Soviet Union cannot be ruled out.

Grund, unterglasurkobaltblaue Schwerter, III 369, III 368, stark beschädigt, Meißner Porzellan, Höhe: 40 cm, Durchmesser: 23,5 cm. (Turmzimmer, vormal. Residenzschloß Dresden)."
