Description
The primed canvas is painted with oil paint. Like a landscape island, long-stemmed roses and fantasy flowers grow from rocailles, between which unfamiliar birds sit. The 2,10 cm long strip of wallpaper is finished with garlands.

acquired by Henri van Hove, Brussels on 6.9.1943 from the Verein Deutsches Tapetenmuseum e.V., Kassel; added to the collection on 7.6.1944
