Description
View of the Reesendamm bridge and the Alter Jungfernstieg from diagonally above. The wide, tree-lined promenade is lined with pedestrians, horse-drawn carriages and carts.
To the right of the Alter Jungfernstieg is the Inner Alster with the Alster Pavilion and the landing stage for Alster steamers. Several barges are moored at the jetty, which can transport their goods under the Reesendamm Bridge between the Binnenalster and the Kleine Alster in both directions. Back: a number "21" underlined in chalk at the bottom left of the frame, the inv. no. "1939,114" at the top of the frame, bottom right: Sticker from MHG with picture data.
