Description
The partially gilded silver tankard has a cylindrical body and a domed round foot with a flared stand ring. The vessel is closed by a domed lid with a flared rim and baluster knob. The lid is hinged at the top to the canted, slightly S-shaped handle. There is also an antler-shaped thumb rest on the hinge.
The foot, the wall and the domed lid of the vessel are covered with a decoration of chased flowers and acanthus leaves.
