Handwritten dedication to Rabbi Dr Ernst Ehrentreu on the occasion of the marriage of Gabriella Rosenthal to Fritz Rosenthal (Schalom ben-Chorin), by Leo Olschki (grandfather of Gabriella Rosenthal), Florence, 28 June 1935. (Dr Ernst Ehrentreu was rabbi of the Orthodox synagogue Ohel-Jakob in Munich from 1927 and lecturer at the Jewish elementary school. In 1938, after the destruction of the synagogue, Ehrentreu was imprisoned in the Dachau concentration camp for several weeks. In 1939, he was forced to leave Germany and emigrated with his family to London.
