Description
The vessel stands on a reddish marble table, with grapes on the left as well as a cherry and a tendril of blackberries on the right. At the edge a crawling snail. The bouquet shows roses, tulips, carnations, irises etc. (Description from Karl Woermann's gallery catalogue, Dresden 1905, p. 403). In the lower right oft the painting`s front the inventory number 121 (in white colour) according to Inv. 1722-1728.

Acquired before 1723 by Jacob Heinrich Reichsgraf von Flemming for August II, King of the Polish Empire and Elector of Saxony; first listed in inventory 1722-1728 A 121; first mentioned in gallery catalogue Riedel/Wenzel 1765, G.E. 351; transferred during World War II: on October 7th, 1941 in the safe of the Ministry of Finance Dresden; lost during the end of World War II.
