Description
Straight-sided shape with wide slanting rim which, like the well, is painted with opulent decoration in multiple shades of gilt; on the well: large, eight-starred (?) rosette with cob-shaped tips, alternating with palmette-like foliage; "Gotha" mark (overglaze red).
Provenance
Purchased in October 1910, from an approval shipment by the "Salon Hermes", Hamburg, for the sum of 125 marks (for 6 pieces).
