Description
View of a village on the edge of a river covered by ice. Many peasants are gathered on the ice and surround the sleds loaded with goods, one of which on the left is harnessed to a white horse. In the foreground, three children are preparing to skate. On the right, we can see the river, full of skaters. Spindly, bare trees frame the houses dominated by the church steeple. Signed and dated 1674
