Description
Koch: Portrait of Maria's father, Hermann Rosenthal. Oil, life size. Dark background. Painted about 1911 Elderly gentleman of almost 60 with thick grey moustache, chest piece, semi-prophile. Dark street suit, gold watch chain, unglazed. Gilded stucco frame, by Therese Schwartze van Duyl (Amsterdam 1852 - 1918, pupil of her father, Lenbach and Pitold).
