Description
Five curtain boxes with numerous decorative elements and distinctive ornamentation. Acarved female head in the center.
Provenance
Acquired in 1868 and placed in the Red Silk Room; As part of the settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal house in 1924, the curtain boxes were transferred to the Free State of Saxony as room inventory; Due to the war, they were removed to a relocation site (Rothschönberg, Zottewitz or Schönfeld). The further whereabouts of the curtain boxes are unknown. It is assumed that they were lost in connection with the events of the Second World War.
