On 10 July 1934, "Herr Loew, Annastraße 5, Frankfurt am Main" handed over paintings to the Städel for safekeeping. These were reported to the State Commissioner for the Care of Jews in Gross-Hessen on 25 May 1946; in 1954 to the Hessische Treuhandverwaltung ("Hesse Trust Administration")
