Description
Drum: in the centre slightly raised, 16-ray star, concentric circles with geometric patterns; two frogs sitting on top of each other soldered on in four directions; outer wall: concentric circles, two pairs of attached metal handles imitating rope netting; on one side of the handles below in a row two plastic elephants, behind them three plastic snails.
Heger III type kettle gong used by Karen, Kayah (Karenni), called hpá-si. Manufactured by the Shan, in the Thai-Burmese border area.
