Description
Statuette of a peasant girl from Proskauer Fayence. On an irregular pedestal, sands a girl in a long polish dress legs apart and rakes. The head of the chubby girl is covered with a hood, which, like the hems of the robe, is fur-trimmed. Painting predominantly manganese violet, the rake is yellow, the fur seams and shoes are black-brown. In the pedestal the signature P. in manganese. A part of the rake is broken off. Glaze splintered in two places of the left arm.
