Description
Half-right in the foreground a stream with three mills, along which a path leads on the left. On the path a wagon and some farmers. In the foreground two farmsteads; further back three mills and half-right on the horizon the church of St Bavo of Haarlem.
Front side signed at lower left: "Molenaer / 1653"
Verso: reverse cover top centre, handwritten in red: "7565" [=Munich CCP no.]; reverse cover right centre and lower left: Label BStGS + "PR" [=Photo Roth]; frame top left, handwritten in blue: "46628"; frame top centre, handwritten: "624/464"; to the right of it white label, inscribed with illegible number; next to it handwritten in red: "[illegible]"; frames top right, bottom right and left: Remains of sticker; frame lower left, label Depot der Alten Pinakothek, on it handwritten "B II 35/l".
