Description
Large Faience vase with "Chinoiserie" in blue painting from a central German factory (Zerbst?). Heavily profiled pedestal with highly developed groove, decorated with exotic plants and pheasants; bulbous phalanx with stylized flower wreath, above it the pear-shaped vessel, which carries at the level of the shoulders 2 ring-shaped, applied handles; short retracted neck with a beaded edge. On the vessel wall on the front and back each 2 Chinese in exotic landscape. The evenly applied glaze has a bluish shimmer, the color appears torn in several places.
