This object does not appear in the inventory of the Kulturhistorische Sammlung until 1977 with the note "Old stock in the museum since 1941/43 (relocation)". According to a list from 1939, objects from the Spira Collection were transferred by the Gestapo to the Museum of Cultural History and Applied Arts. However, no objects from the Spira Collection are listed in the inventory. Based on an object description, it is likely that the object is an object from the Spira Collection. Dr. Robert Spira was a lawyer, living in Graz, Schmiedgasse 40, and his heir was Margarete Manschinger, born 19.04.1899 - died in June 1971 in New York.
