Description
Cup and saucer with gold decor. The small saucer on gilded stand ring, on the top at the edge of golden ornament frieze with arrow tips and point chains. In the back of the engraved gold decoration: on a ornament console 2 Chinese in the kitchen in a garden, above it a coat of arms in a large cartouche: 4 six-pointed stars by 2 crossed, hanging arrows, as a helmet ornament a half-figure with sword and star (according to Prof. Dr. E.W. Braun coat of arms of the Nuremberg doctor Johann Wilhelm Widmann, died 1743, according to an information provided by Dr. G. Schiedlausky from the Landeskirchlichen Archive in Nuremberg on 3 May 1720 in Nuremberg with Anna Magdalena Engelland). Yellowish glaze. - The cup on a partially gilded stand ring, on its outer wall chinoiserie and coats of arms similar to the saucer, as well as the golden ornamentfries inside the lip. In the rear, a blackbird-like bird on a branch. In the ground the mark ("10"?); in the edge of the foot a cut mark. Golddekor probably Augsburg, perhaps 1720-30 .-- Brands: Cup: In bottom "10" (?); in the foot edge cut mark. - Mass: Cup Dm. 12.5 cm H. 2 cm, saucerDm. 7.6 cm H. 4.4 cm
